My Approach

Therapy that honours your whole self

My approach is integrative, meaning I draw on multiple evidence-based frameworks — always guided by what works best for you as an individual.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”

— Carl Rogers, Father of Person-Centred Therapy

Core Principles

The values that guide every session

01

Empathetic & Non-Judgmental

The foundation of all effective therapy is a relationship built on trust and unconditional positive regard. In our sessions, there are no wrong feelings and no labels — just an open, accepting presence that meets you exactly where you are.

02

Evidence-Based Practice

Every approach I use is grounded in robust clinical research. I draw primarily on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), EMDR, and Mindfulness-Based interventions — adapting each to your unique needs.

03

Holistic & Integrative

You are more than a diagnosis or a set of symptoms. I look at the whole person — your biology, relationships, environment, and inner narrative — and draw on multiple modalities to create care that addresses the full picture.

04

Client-Led & Collaborative

Therapy is a partnership, not a prescription. You always lead — setting the goals, the direction, and the pace of our work. My role is to walk alongside you, offering tools, perspective, and honest, compassionate challenge.

Therapeutic Modalities

Methods I draw from

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Explores the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Particularly effective for anxiety, depression, and OCD.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

Builds skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Ideal for intense emotions and relationship difficulties.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing — a powerful, evidence-based approach to processing traumatic memories and reducing their emotional charge.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Cultivates present-moment awareness to reduce rumination, anxiety, and emotional reactivity. Drawn from MBSR and MBCT frameworks.

Somatic Approaches

Recognises that the body holds experience. Somatic techniques help access and process emotions stored in the nervous system — especially useful for trauma.

Person-Centred Therapy

Rooted in the belief that every person has the capacity for growth given the right conditions: empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard.
